White Dove Woodworks is a one-man woodworking shop producing custom-made fine furniture, cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural woodwork.

Meticulous craftsmanship is employed throughout the construction process. Frequent use of traditional joinery techniques such as mortise and tenons, dovetails, and frame and panel construction assure an heirloom quality piece of furniture.

Expansion and contraction of wood are the biggest enemies of fine furniture and cabinets, and strict attention is given to their effects in the design, construction, and finishing stages of every piece.

New designs and reproductions are available in many styles, with emphasis on Shaker, American Country, and Traditional pieces.

Finishing techniques are employed using environmentally friendly materials and processes. Because there is no one, perfect finish for every type of project, careful consideration is given to customer preference, durability, and the enhancement of the natural beauty of wood when selecting finishes. In addition to modern coatings, hand rubbed linseed oil and distressed milk paint finishes are available for selected pieces.

About Dave Biggerstaff -- I have over 22 years experience in the homebuilding and woodworking businesses. I have always had a passion for working with wood, and a part of me goes into every piece I make. While a good portion of my craft is done using modern, efficient machinery, I believe strongly in the time honored and proven methods of traditional woodworking and careful attention to details that will give my customers true handcrafted, quality workmanship that will last for years to come.
