We are minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Alleghany County is home to Stone Mountain State Park. The hikes are spectacular as are the views, wildlife and adventure. Bike in famous Galax Virgina, just minutes from our cabin. Antique. Shop. Golf. There are two public courses within 20 minutes of the cabin. We are 30-40 minutes from famous Mount Airy, home to Andy Griffith. We are 20 minutes from Super WalMart, Lowes and Food Lion.

The New River is the second oldest river in the world (second to the Nile). Canoe or Kayak on mild rapids and gorgeous river. Take a tube ride 5 miles down the New through one or our many local outfitters. Fishing is great right in the front yard. There are several shoals in the river in front of our house which make the loud rushing sound day and night. There is a family of otters who live in one of the rock formations across the river. Wild turkeys visit us regularly and deer have made their home here.

We are stocked with games, movies, books and more. Couples will find no reason to leave the cabin unless they really want to. Families on adventure will find every reason to venture.
