Improved Chamber gift certificates available
If you have person on your gift list that is seemingly impossible to shop for on your Christmas list, the Chamber of Commerce will once again be offering gift certificates redeemable with Chamber of Commerce member businesses.

Only they will be better.

We have partnered with the CertifiCheck program and can offer a more usable and secure gift certificate to the community. One big advantage of a CertifiCheck Chamber gift certificate is that it never expires, so there is no hurry to get a certificate redeemed by a certain date.

This feature means that the gift certificates are not limited to use just at Christmas, but can be purchased year round as gifts for birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, whatever. And as in the past, they can be exchanged for merchandise equal to their full face value at more than 100 Chamber member merchants and service providers.

These new gift certificates also feature a number of security features found on commercial checks that help thwart copying and alteration. Among these measures, the words "VOID" appear in the background on the front of copied checks and orange security printing on their backs is heat sensitive and turns yellow when held.

The certificates are easier for our businesses to redeem. Letters have been mailed out to members explaining the procedure. Some local employees have already received Christmas bonuses and CertifiChecks are already showing up in stores. Any Chamber member who is a merchant, who has not received this letter or has questions about the program, is encouraged to call the Chamber office at 372-5473.

CertifiCheck Chamber Gift Certificates will be available for purchase at the Chamber office beginning Nov. 27. They can also be purchased online. Just go to the Chamber website, Sparta-NC.com, and click on the Gift Cerfiticate link.
