Saturday at The Alleghany Jubilee: Traditional band "Talk of the Town" plays beginning at 7 p.m. Come to dance or listen. Admission is a whopping $4. 25 North Main Street.

Friday and Saturday see the Alleghany Quilters' Guild Show:10 a.m.- 4 p.m., at the Black Exhibition Building at the County Fairgrounds on US 21, 1.5 miles north of town. See displays the handiwork of local fiber artists. No admission charged. The Fairgrounds offers ample parking.

Monday with the Crouse House Pickers: Informal jam by local musicians. Come to listen or play. No admission charged, but donations appreciated. 6 p.m. until around 9 p.m.
